Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager

 

  

 
Principal duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the general employment conditions of Lapp Ltd are maintained
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and other employees
  • Maintaining an accurate level of item control at all times
  • Ensuring the timely throughput of the department
  • To take part and complete any training deemed necessary by management
  • Ensure Lapp processes are followed at all times where applicable as these are written to support our ISO 9001 - 2000 accreditation and ultimately customer satisfaction

 

 

Specific duties once trained:

 

  • Unloading deliveries, ensuring shortages and damages are reported and dealt with
  • Booking deliveries and returns onto business system appropriately, ensuring shortages/ damages are reported and controlled as per process
  • Location control and accuracy to be maintained during any process within the department
  • Safe control of the cable cutting equipment and processes
  • Ensuring product is packaged and labelled correctly for despatch
  • All documentation to be controlled and completed in a timely manner
  • Production duties are carried out according to process
  • Despatch of goods or returns to be handled appropriately.  Full traceability and proof of delivery must be maintained
  • Use of company machinery as required or trained to do so
  • Maintain a clean and safe area of work
  • Participate in warehouse improvement initiatives for both layout and process development
  • Any other appropriate actions as deemed necessary by management

 

 

Personal experience/Qualifications/Skills:

 

  • Proven ability to manage own work and an ability to establish good working relationships
  • IT skills in Excel and Word and Lotus Notes and knowledge of SAP and advantage
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Fork lift license is required (both counterbalance & reach)
  • Hours of work are a combination of both 0600-1400 shifts and 1400-2200 shifts each with a 30 Minute unpaid break, Monday to Friday.
